I spent some time this morning listening to a podcast with Ariana Huffington. The interview focused on preventing burnout + recharging your batteries — a lesson we could all learn. The interview ended by discussing 3 tips to be better at everything.
Since I am launching 2 new programs this month aimed at bettering your nutrition.
I thought I'd share with you --
1. Physical/Mental/Emotional well-being
"you cannot pour from an empty cup"
Recognize that taking care of yourself will make you better at everything you do —your job, parenting, your relationships as a spouse, friend, child, sibling etc.
Everything lies in recognizing there is a connection between well-being and performance. Prioritize your own well-being and you'll find that everything becomes easier.
"I had such a wonderful life, I just wish I had recognized it sooner." - Sidonie Gabrielle Colette
Acknowledge the things that are working for you, instead of against you. Life becomes so much sweeter when you approach it from a place of gratitude.
3. Accept that "life is progress"
Working on being "better" is a process that will take the rest of your life. There will never be one specific moment where you feel like you've arrived at your destination and never have to work at personal growth again. Approaching your life with a growth mindset allows for flexibility. Flexibility is the key to accepting changes in your goals + values and stimulates you to progress.
When I told a friend of mine that I was making a major career move, she said this very quote to me "life is progress." Accepting the fact that things change & people change should be the norm for anyone that wants to progress.
In health + self-care + life progress
